A few years ago, my dad surprised me by telling me that he had bought a few stocks for me when I was born and stashed them away for me just for fun. He said that to his surprise, they raised in value dramatically and he gave them to me. That piqued my interest in the stock market and investing, and I have since studied up a lot on it and made a few investments of my own. My dad has given me a lot of great investment advice, as well.
